BJP MLA from Banjar assembly constituency Surendra Shorey told that apart from Sainj Bazar, newly and baker villages were completely washed away while ten houses in lower Shakti and four houses in Kartah have been washed away.
He said that one house in Gaddi Bahani and two houses and temples in Safadni have been destroyed. He told that there has been a lot of land stretching in Trihada village, but the government and the administration remained unaware of it for five days.
After visiting the affected areas last evening, Surendra Shouri told a press conference in Kullu that apart from Sainj Bazar, there has been heavy destruction in the valley.
He told that there are 300 tourists stranded in Shanghgarh area, no arrangement has been made to evacuate them. The MLA said that till now no arrangement has been made for the affected people to stay and eat.
He told that due to the absence of any officer in Senj and Banjar, the correct information about the loss has not reached the administration and the government.
