Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Nahan, March 13: Jagdish, a well-known face of Sirmour city, who is firm on the fact that “To live life, we should become self-respectful and not arrogant” completed his worldly journey on Tuesday and merged into the Panchatatva. But Jagdish left an example of living with self-respect in adverse circumstances.

We are talking about Jagdish of Sirmour city, whom you might have often seen carrying a small box of boot polish near Delhi Gate. This small and timid looking man was suffering from mental disability since childhood. JagdishWas suffering from the developmental disorder autism. Although he was unable to express his thoughts, his self-respect was strong. This was the reason why he never extended his hand to anyone. He earned his living by polishing boots.

After getting old, Jagdish body was no longer with him, but even then he did not stop working hard and earning. Due to this, his selfishness also remained alive and the compassionate man also became successful in his objective. As his age was increasing, he was failing even to polish his boots. Jagdish now roamed the streets and roads with the hope that maybe someone would help him, but he never extended his hand to anyone. However, it now took 20 minutes for Jagdish to even walk 20 steps.

Jagdish died around 10 am on Tuesday morning. After which his last rites were performed in the afternoon. While leaving, Jagdish gave the message to the Sirmour city residents that no matter what the circumstances are, if one tries, life can be lived with self-respect. May God give Jagdish a place at his feet.
