Shimla – Geo-tagging has been made mandatory for all educational institutions receiving scholarships in Himachal Pradesh. Due to which now no fake institute will be able to apply for new scholarship.
A few years ago, a large number of accused were arrested and sent to the judicial custody of the Himachal Pradesh High Court under the entire scholarship scam of more than Rs. 265 crores that took place in Himachal Pradesh.
Due to which the Narendra Modi government at the Center made major changes in all the rules for releasing the scholarship amount and made all the rules more stringent.
All the fake educational institutes in Himachal Pradesh can no longer apply for all the important scholarship schemes of Himachal Pradesh Government.
Let us tell you that geo-tagging has been made mandatory for all the educational institutions receiving scholarships under all the scholarship schemes of the Narendra Modi government of the Center and the Himachal Pradesh State Government.
Himachal Pradesh State Education Department has clearly implemented all the strict guidelines of the Narendra Modi Government of the Center and has directed all the private and government universities, colleges and all the government schools of Himachal Pradesh to implement geo-tagging compulsorily. Himachal Pradesh State Education Department have been issued Guidelines Regarding geo-tagging by writing letters to all educational institutions receiving scholarships in Himachal Pradesh.
To receive the scholarship amount for the new academic session 2023-24 of Himachal Pradesh Education Department, all educational institutions will have to compulsorily complete the geo tagging process.
By looking at the Google Map through geo-tagging, the current actual conditions of all the educational institutions can be easily ascertained by the Modi Government at the Centre.
Due to which, now the most important decision has been taken to take action against all the fake educational institutions which declare big institutions in the files and indulge in scholarship scam in the names of more students.
When a scholarship scam of more than Rs 265 crore was detected in Himachal Pradesh a few years ago, all the accused were arrested and presented in the judicial custody of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Also, the CBI investigation and action on the entire scholarship scam of Rs 265 crore in Himachal Pradesh is still going on.
The complete process of filing charge sheet in Himachal Pradesh High Court against all the accused who perpetrated scholarship scam in Himachal Pradesh has been issued.
Along with this, the Enforcement Directorate is also conducting a thorough investigation into the scholarship scam of Rs 265 crore in the entire Himachal Pradesh.
Also, the Narendra Modi government at the Center has made all the scholarship rules more stringent by making changes in all the rules for receiving scholarship money.
Now all the educational institutions in Himachal Pradesh will have to upload all the information on the National Scholarship Portal –
Now it has been made completely mandatory for all scholarship receiving students to link their bank accounts through Aadhaar number.
Also, now geo tagging of all the educational institutions of Himachal Pradesh state has been made mandatory through Google Map.
The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of the Central Government has issued guidelines to all educational institutions by the Himachal Pradesh Education Department to make geo-tagging mandatory.
Also, guidelines have been issued to provide all the information regarding geo tagging on the National Scholarship Portal.
With geo-tagging being made mandatory, now all the educational institutions of Himachal Pradesh will be able to easily know how big is the campus of any institute which has applied for scholarship and at which location this campus has been situated.
The geo tagging process is being started compulsorily from next week by the Himachal Pradesh Education Department in all the educational institutions of Himachal Pradesh.
