‘International Tour of Teachers’ program has been launched by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today on Thursday. In the first batch of ‘International Tour of Teachers’ program, 102 teachers selected from entire Himachal Pradesh are being sent to Singapore on a five-day international tour, the first batch of which is going to leave for Singapore on 24th February. Singapore tour kits have also been provided to all the 102 teachers selected in the first batch by Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. CM Sukhu said that the second batch of 98 teachers is going to be sent on an international tour on March 15.

Congratulating all the 102 teachers selected for the ‘International Tour of Teachers’ program, CM Sukhu said that during the training in Singapore, all the 102 teachers are going to get the opportunity to become aware of the new technologies in the education sector. CM Sukhu said that after all the teachers return from the tour after knowing the new methods of education, better coordination between the students will be ensured, which will ensure the all-round development of the students of the state.

CM Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh has slipped to 18th position in terms of providing quality education. The present state government is making every possible effort to improve education, so that students can become competent to meet the challenges of the future.

CM Sukhu said that the Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School being opened in Himachal Pradesh is a unique initiative towards qualitative improvement in education and in the upcoming ten years, Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding School will emerge as the best educational center, where along with education, Adequate facilities for sports are also going to be available for the students.

Chief Minister said that from the next academic session, education will be taught in English medium from class 1 in government schools and schools have been given the right to choose smart uniforms and resources are going to be used better by forming clusters.

He said that the vision of self-reliant Himachal has been presented in the second budget of the state government, the positive results of which will be visible in the coming years.

CM Sukhu said that with new policies and tough decisions, Himachal will move forward on the path of progress. In the first batch, 102 selected teachers are going on a tour to Singapore. With this, teachers are going to get an opportunity to learn new methods of education during the foreign tour.

CM Sukhu said that since the formation of the present state government, concrete efforts are being made to improve the quality of education in the state. CM Sukhu said that the state government is filling the vacant posts in the education department on priority basis, so that quality education can be ensured in government schools.

On this occasion, Assembly Deputy Speaker Vinay Kumar, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ashish Butail, Principal Advisor to Chief Minister (IT and Innovation) Gokul Butail, Education Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, State Project Director Samagra Shiksha Rajesh Sharma, Director Higher Education Amarjeet Sharma and others Dignitaries were present.
