Shimla – Sixty-eight out of 131 crushers in the Beas Basin in Himachal Pradesh have been found to be illegal. Complete disclosure has been made in the investigation report of the committee.

The investigation report presented by the committee states that out of 131 stone crushers in the Beas Basin, sixty-eight stone crushers have not been granted permission to operate fully.

The most important reason for the heart-wrenching rains and natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh is the rampant illegal excavation being done in an unscientific manner throughout Himachal Pradesh.

The complete disclosure has been made after the main investigation report of the committee formed by the Himachal Pradesh State Government to investigate all the major causes of the natural disaster was presented.

The investigation report presented by the committee states that in the Beas basin alone, out of 131 stone crushers, about sixty-eight stone crushers have been found to be completely illegal.

In the main investigation report of the Multi Sector Committee formed by the Himachal Pradesh State Government, the changing climate of Himachal Pradesh has also been cited as the most important reason for the heart-wrenching natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh.

The Multi Sector Committee in its entire investigation report has said that out of 131 stone crushers on the Beas Basin in Himachal Pradesh, sixty-eight stone crushers have not been found to have permission to operate.

Also, seven Beas Basin stone crushers are completely lying defunct due to the heart-wrenching natural disaster that struck Himachal Pradesh.

On the other hand, all irregularities related to storage have been recorded in six stone crushers.

There was a severe flood in Himachal Pradesh due to people throwing huge amount of debris in the Beas river due to which huge loss of life and property and huge damage has also been recorded in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

The Multi Sector Committee has said in all its investigation reports that the environmental balance of the entire Beas River has proved unable to withstand the huge pressure, due to which the need for scientific study of the entire Beas River has increased.

Also, the Multi Sector Committee has been asked to take all measures as per rules for the successful operation of stone crushers.

The Multi Sector Committee has also asked to conduct the Himachal Pradesh Government to renew the permission for illegal quarrying and operation of stone crushers on the basis of single window system, keeping in mind the future needs, in order to maintain the ever-increasing environmental balance.

A temporary ban has been imposed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh on opening of all new stone crushers in Himachal Pradesh till the final investigation report of the Multi Sector Committee is received.

Final demand from Himachal Pradesh Government to operate fifty crushers in Himachal Pradesh on terms and conditions –

After completing all the formalities, the Multi Sector Committee has given the report of operating fifty stone crushers following the complete terms and conditions.

The investigation report has been submitted to the Himachal Pradesh Government for the 12-hour operation of fifty stone crushers from 6 am to 6 pm.

An investigation report has also been submitted to the Himachal Pradesh government to make the entire use of DG sets illegal on all the fifty stone crushers.

Also, the Himachal Pradesh government has been asked in the investigation report by the Multi Sector Committee to make 24×7 CCTV camera monitoring mandatory on all the fifty stone crushers being operated.

All the officials of Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board and Himachal Pradesh Mining Department have also been asked to inspect daily, the investigation report of the multi-sector committee said.

Also, directions have been given to issue written reports to the local authorities of all the twelve districts of Himachal Pradesh for all illegal excavations within the radius of five hundred meters of Himachal Pradesh Stone Crushers.

The amount of disaster relief package will be released before 14th December for the construction of houses of the natural disaster affected people in Himachal Pradesh – Anirudh Singh.

Panchayati Raj Minister of Himachal Pradesh Government, Aniruddh Singh, while addressing the Diary Times press conference, said that after the heart-wrenching rains, landslides and natural disaster in Himachal Pradesh, about nine thousand six hundred and fifty-five houses will be constructed on December 10. In any case, the Himachal Pradesh government will release relief package amount to the disaster affected people.

The first installment of the relief package amount has been released by the Himachal Pradesh Government in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh said that disaster relief funds will soon be released in Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla also.

Himachal Pradesh Government has successfully distributed all the disaster relief funds that came in the first phase for the construction of six thousand five hundred fifty one houses in the capital Shimla.

Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh said that Himachal Pradesh’s opposition party BJP has only done politics during its government, hence they know very well how to do politics of allegations and counter-allegations by just pointing fingers.

So far, a complete assessment of the loss worth Rs 10,000 crore has been made due to the heart-wrenching rains, floods and natural disasters in Himachal Pradesh.
