Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 13: The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu approved the recommendations of the Cabinet Sub-Committee constituted for JOA (IT) Code-817. Authorized to start the process of declaring the result of Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission.

In the Cabinet meeting, approval was given to fill 113 posts of vehicle drivers for the smooth functioning of Home Guard and Civil Defense Department. The Cabinet also approved filling of 50 posts of clerk in Himachal Pradesh Secretariat through direct recruitment. The Cabinet decided to convert Class IV part-time employees who have completed seven years of service by March 31, 2024 in various departments as daily wage employees.

The Cabinet also decided to allocate free power from the State Government to HPSEBL at the rate fixed by the Himachal Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission to meet the power shortage in HPSEBL. This decision will benefit HPSEBL and the people of the state. The Cabinet also approved the establishment of Himachal Pradesh Police Cyber Lab in the State CID.

The Cabinet approved opening of the office of Deputy Superintendent of Police at Indora in Kangra district. The meeting also decided to open a new sub-divisional police office at Chuwadi in Chamba district and upgrade the police post at Sihunta in Chamba to a police station. The Cabinet also approved opening of new police post at Hatli under Chowari Police Station in Chamba district.
