Shimla, February 28: Membership of six rebel Congress MLAs has been put on hold in Himachal Pradesh. A petition has been filed before the Assembly Speaker under the anti-defection law. In this the membership of the MLAs has been challenged. The big thing is that the Speaker of the Assembly has immediately issued a notice to the MLAs and started the hearing.

However, the rebel MLAs, through their advocate, have raised the demand that at least 7 days should have been given for the reply, but Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania, while talking to journalists, has made it clear that the order should be issued immediately.

Actually, the ruling party had issued a whip. The rebel MLAs reached the House at around 12 o’clock, but left before the Speaker of the Assembly arrived. Therefore, it has been considered a violation of the whip. Now the question arises that if these MLAs are disqualified then what is going to happen in that case.

Political analysts say that by-elections will be held in 6 assembly constituencies in this manner.

On the other hand, the budget has been passed. During the passage of the budget, 10 BJP members had reached the House, but they also left. Earlier, Satpal Satti said that the expulsion of 15 members has been done to save the government. The budget was passed in the absence of 25 BJP rebels, 6 Congress rebels and 3 independents.

Overall, after facing defeat in Rajya Sabha, Congress used two Brahmastras in the ‘trial of fire’ of the budget game.

Not only was the whip imposed, but so was the expulsion of 15 MLAs, including the leader of the opposition.

It is being told that the government did not use guillotine to pass the budget. Once implemented it ensures that the budget will be passed within the allotted time.

Since this arrangement would have taken place after the lunch break, the government wanted to get the budget passed before that.

If the system is implemented, only the Speaker addresses the House, no MLA or minister from the ruling or the opposition addresses the House.

On the other hand, another information has been received that 6 rebel Congress MLAs have reached Panchkula by helicopter.
