The Bharatiya Janata Party has given a big responsibility to Manali Municipal Council Chairman and Himachal Pradesh Municipal Body President/Vice President Federation State President Chaman Kapoor, who was among the strong contenders for the ticket. BJP has appointed Chaman Kapoor as the state coordinator of Himachal Pradesh BJP urban body cell.

Chaman Kapoor’s Name Was Discussed Till The Last Round –
Chaman Kapoor’s name was prominent among the contenders for BJP ticket from Mandi parliamentary seat. There was discussion on the name of Chaman Kapoor till the last round but the party fielded a popular face from here. Chaman Kapoor is originally a resident of Sarkaghat assembly constituency of Mandi district but he has made Kullu district his workplace.
At present, Chaman Kapoor is the president of the federation of presidents/vice-presidents of all the municipal bodies in Himachal Pradesh. It remains to be seen how the party and the candidate can benefit from Chaman Kapoor’s ground hold.
