There will be a ban on new government announcements, new appointments, inaugurations and foundation stone in the state till the completion of the election process. At the same time, no new work will start now. The schemes already running will continue, but new beneficiaries will no longer be able to be created. There will be a ban on jobs by other institutions except Public Service Commission. The special thing is that the Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Yojana, which is giving Rs 1500 to women every month by the Sukhu government of the state, will also be put on hold amid the election code of conduct. Let us inform that the Sukhu government of Congress in Himachal Pradesh has recently decided to give Rs 1500 every month to women aged 18 to 59 years under the Indira Gandhi Mahila Samman Yojana. A notification in this regard has also been issued by the government. A form has also been made available, on filling which the eligible women are to get Rs 1500. Actually, Congress had given this guarantee to the women of the state during the assembly elections.

Under the notification issued by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, women who do not have anyone from their families in government service or pensioners will be included in the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana. Women between 18 years to 59 years will be included in this, further, women above 60 years of age are already being given pension. Tehsil Welfare Officer will have the right to impose and cancel this pension. The guideline for giving Rs 1500 to women in Lahaul Spiti has been implemented in the entire state. For this, the same form will be used which has been issued earlier for Lahaul Spiti.

The state government claims that under this scheme, Rs 1500 is to be given to five lakh women every month. The government has to spend Rs 800 crore annually on this scheme.
