Deadlock begins in the proceedings of the House on the first day of Himachal Pradesh Assembly session –
After the condolence motion of Chamba MLA Balkrishna Chauhan, a deadlock was started by all the opposition MLAs of Bharatiya Janata Party without question hour. Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Vinod Kumar was quick to question the huge damage caused to educational institutions by the natural disaster in Nachan assembly constituency. In response, Himachal Pradesh Government’s Education Minister Rohit Thakur said that a provision is being made to release financial amount for the loss caused by the natural disaster to the entire educational institution. One thousand fifty seven schools in Himachal Pradesh have suffered damage due to rain and natural disaster. On the other hand, BJP leader of opposition Jairam Thakur said that the work of imparting education to all the children is being done by making them sit in risky and dilapidated buildings. Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said how many such government schools are there in Himachal Pradesh, which have been completely destroyed in the natural disaster. What steps is the Himachal Pradesh government taking to accommodate the children in all these ruined schools.
