Robotic surgery is going to be started in a phased manner in the Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals of Himachal Pradesh.In the first phase, Atal Super Specialty Institute Chamiyana Shimla and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College Tanda Robotic surgery facility is about to be started. The tender process is in progress to start robotic surgery. To strengthen kidney transplantation, the recruitment process of Nephrologists is being done through the Public Service Commission. Apart from this, Kidney transplant department has been established in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College Tanda. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu gave this information in the House in written reply to the question of Shahpur MLA Kewal Singh Pathania.
Permanent residents living in Himachal Pradesh for generations are not allowed to purchase land –
There are some residents in Himachal Pradesh who have been living here for generations. Their houses are built in small areas and there is no land for farming. Despite being permanent residents of Himachal Pradesh, they are not allowed to buy land. Such people can buy land under Section 118 only with the permission of the Himachal Government.
One kilometer road in all sub-divisions will be paved with plastic –
In the year 2024-25, a target has been set to pave one kilometer of road in all the sub-divisions of Himachal Pradesh using shredded plastic waste. From April 2023 to January 2024, the Public Works Department has used 4259 kg plastic waste to build roads. 2,48,522 new vehicles registered in Himachal Pradesh in the last two years –
In Himachal Pradesh, 2,48,522 new vehicles have been registered in the last two years till January 15, 2024. As of 9 February 2024, the number of personal vehicles is 19,34,264 and the number of commercial vehicles is 3,19,138. Himachal Police issued challans worth Rs 35 crore in the financial year 2022-23 –
In the financial year 2022-23, 8,31,028 cases have been registered for violating the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act. An amount of Rs 35,89,86,090 has been collected from these challans. Six out of 27 schemes of roads and bridges got approval from the Center –
In the financial year 2022-23 and 2023-24, Himachal Government has proposed 27 schemes of roads and bridges to the Central Government for the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund. The Central Government has approved 6 of these schemes and provided an amount of Rs 398.24 crore. Officer committed irregularities in awarding tender from Beas river, Himachal government should investigate: Satpal
Former BJP president and MLA Satpal Satti said that the official had committed irregularities in awarding the tender to a particular firm for enhancing the source of various LWSS from the Beas river in Badsar area under NDB funding. He said that the state government should immediately order an investigation into this matter, as it has caused huge loss to the HP government. Officials who default on the government treasury should be punished. He said that if action is not taken the matter will be taken to central investigation. He said that the tender was finalized arbitrarily. It is not understood how the rates for different items with different leads and carriages were finalized when the scope of every component was going to change due to shifting of source, the revised estimate of which took into account the changed design. There is no relevance regarding the parameters.
