On 26th January 2023, India celebrates its 74th Republic Day. Under the leadership of President, Droupadi Murmu. The republic parade was held in New Delhi, the capital of India, around the Kartavya path or path of duty. More than ten thousand people gathered to watch the parade in New Delhi and millions watched on Television. The parade of Republic Day, consists of various military troops, resembling the military power of the country. Along with these twenty-three tableaux, 17 from states, 6 from union territories, and 6 from various ministries participated in the parade. All these tableaux depicted rich cultural heritage, economic progress, and strong internal and external security. Various cultural dance troops also participate in the parade.
GUEST OF HONOR
The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El- Sisi, is invited as the guest of honor for the 74th Republic Day celebration in India. He is the first Egyptian President to be invited as a guest of honor to India. He is also the first guest of honor to be invited after the pandemic of COVID-19. He is on a three-day visit to India from the 25th to the 27th of January 2023. High-level delegations and six ministers have accompanied President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
The traditional folk dance was performed for welcoming the guest of honor. The president of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was scheduled to meet President, Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and External Affairs Minister, Subrahmanyam J. Shankar. The meeting was held in Rajpati Bhavan. The President, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will help meet with Narendra Modi, Prime Minster of India, to discuss topics like bilateral, regional, and global issues and topics of mutual interest.
He is scheduled to visit Rajghat, Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial. After which a banquet was held in the honor of the Egypt President on the same day.
On the 26th he visited Kartavya Path to witness Republic Day Parade. An Egyptian military contingent of the army also marched at the Republic Day Parade. Later on 26th January, a meeting is to be held with the Vice President of the country, Jagdeep Dhankar. The Egypt President will return to Cairo on the 27th of January.
REPUBLIC DAY SPEECH
The Republic Day speech was addressed by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu at the Red Fort after the hosting of the national flag. The theme or the topic of the speech was “Jan-Bhagidari” which is the participation of the people. The speech included the contribution of people to the development of the country. The speech was on the inclusion of the common man. The importance of the common man of the country. The speech also expressed the plan of the government along with the contribution of the people.
The speech was to motivate the common man to participate in the development of the country. It also includes subjects like relationships with the nature and rest of the world. The speech also expressed the importance of nature and culture being preserved and taken care of.
GLIMPSE OF THE RAJPATH
The parade of Republic Day parade is held on Rajpath. The first parade was conducted in 1950. The Rajpath is now named as Kartavya path. The Republic Day parade is held each year on 26th January on Kartavya path, New Delhi, the capital of the country. The parade consists of all the military forces troops along with 23 tableaux, 17 tableaux of states, 6 tableaux of union territories, and 6 from various ministries. All these depict the rich cultural heritage, economic progress, and strong internal and external security.

- Female Dare Devil showed its acrobatics on the bikes across the parade.
- Komalpreet Kaur, Assistant Commander, 1st time led Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) with 6 paramilitary forces.
STATE TABLEAUX
Every state represents tableaux showing its culture. The cultural dance troop was also part of the parade. The cultural dance troop consists of 326 women dancers and 153 men dancers. The dance troop showcases a fusion of local, folk, and contemporary dance form.
