Hamirpur News: Big Consignment of Drugs Recovered In Bhoranj, One Arrested With 5 Kg Hashish
The block was set up late night by the teams of Hamirpur district police administration. Meanwhile, the car of a youth named Ratan Lal was also stopped by Hamirpur police for search. A consignment of five kilos and twenty-two grams of hashish hidden along with Stepney in Ratan Lal’s car has been recovered.

A large consignment of five kilos and twenty-two grams of hashish has been recovered from the vehicle of a person named Ratan Lal, a resident of Kullu district, on Chahal road near Mundkhar by the teams of Bhoranj police station of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh. The consignment of five kilos and twenty-two grams of hashish recovered in Hamirpur district in the year 2023 is the largest consignment of drug till date. Success in this major action was achieved by the teams of Bhoranj police post Jahu during the late night naka.

The main accused of the consignment of five kilos and twenty-two grams of charas has been identified as Ratan Lal, main resident of Rauli Gram Panchayat, Thela Post Office, Bhuntar Tehsil, Kullu District. A blockade was set up on Chahal road late Thursday night by the teams of Bhoranj police post Jahu. During this time, Ratan Lal’s car was also stopped for search.
On suspicion, the teams of Bhoranj police station conducted an investigation and a large consignment of five kilos and twenty-two grams of hashish, hidden along with the straw in the vehicle, was recovered. Hamirpur District Police Administration Superintendent Dr Aakriti Sharma told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the main accused Ratan Lal has been arrested by the teams of Bhoranj police post Jahu. A complete case has been registered against the main accused Ratan Lal under the NDPS Act and further investigation process has been started. Soon the main accused Ratan Lal will be produced in the judicial custody of Himachal Pradesh High Court.
