Lab Attendant Of NIT Hamirpur Along With Three To 10.67 Grams Of Chitta Recovered
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Hamirpur, March 18: Hamirpur Police have recovered 10.67 grams of Chitta from three people including a lab attendant working in NIT Hamirpur. A case has been registered in the entire matter in Sadar police station Hamirpur.
Four months ago in October, an M.Tech student from Bilaspur had allegedly died of drug overdose at NIT Hamirpur. After the death of the student, Hamirpur police had recovered Chitta in the NIT campus and NIT students are also named in this case. Chitta has been recovered from these accused in Chowki Jambala of Hamirpur itself.

The accused have been identified as Rajneesh Sharma resident of Garg Niwas New Model Town Hoshiarpur (Punjab), Vishal Raj resident of Anukhurd tehsil and district Hamirpur and Sunil Sharma resident of village Ghariana Brahmna Chowki Jambala tehsil Hamirpur have been arrested and an FIR has been registered under sections of the NDPS Act.

Accused Vishal Raj is working as Lab Attendant at NIT Hamirpur. During the investigation, it was also found that the father of accused Vishal Raj, arrested in this case, is working as a head technician in the electrical wing of NIT Hamirpur and his mother is also working as a junior draftsman in NIT. SP Hamirpur Padam Chand said that investigation into the matter is ongoing.
