Dress Code Of Forest Department Field Employees Will Change For The First Time In Himachal

There will be a change in the color of hats and shoes of forest department personnel. Forest workers will be seen wearing green caps and brown shoes. For the first time, an initiative is being taken to change the uniform of forest personnel.

Actually, the forest department has formed a committee to make necessary changes in the uniform of field personnel. This committee has proposed to give new color to the cap and shoes. An important meeting was held at Tolland, the forest department headquarters in Shimla, to review the recommendations of the committee. In this meeting there was discussion on redesigning the uniform of field personnel. The points discussed during this period included changing the color of the caps of field personnel of the forest department from khaki to green, changing the color of forest guards’ shoes from black to brown, changing the six stars on the uniform to five and changing the color and pattern of leaves to the new uniform. The field personnel of the Forest Department currently have khaki uniform.

After taking everyone’s opinion in the meeting, a three-member committee was formed. This committee will visit the textile markets of Chandigarh, Ambala, Ludhiana and Jalandhar and bring samples of uniforms and jackets for field workers. Flying Squad Shimla’s DFO Ved Prakash, Chaura Maidan Forest Range’s RFO Saurabh and Mashobra Forest Range’s forest guard Yogesh Kumar are included in this committee. This committee will submit the samples in two weeks.
