CM Sukhu: Women are becoming financially self-reliant and living a respectable life with the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi scheme

Shimla, June 29: Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the ambitious Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi scheme of the Himachal Pradesh government is proving to be helpful in the socio-economic upliftment of women. The CM said that under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi scheme, financial assistance of Rs 1500 per month is being provided to eligible women of the age group of 18 years and above by the Himachal Pradesh government.
The CM said that under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana, 7,280 women in Haroli Assembly Constituency of Una district have been benefited with Rs 3.27 crore. The CM said that under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana, 48,000 women of Himachal Pradesh have been provided financial assistance of Rs 4,500 per woman in the form of Samman Nidhi for three months. The CM said that a budget provision of Rs 23 crore has been made under this innovative scheme launched by the Himachal Pradesh Government with a view to women upliftment and welfare.

The CM said that women’s participation is being ensured in the development of Himachal Pradesh. The CM said that through the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana, women are becoming financially self-reliant and are living a respectable life.
The CM said that the Himachal Pradesh government is constantly working towards strengthening the rural economy and empowering women. The CM said that positive results of the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana are being seen in Himachal Pradesh. The Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana is an important step towards gender equality.
The CM said that the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana reflects the efforts of the Himachal Pradesh government for the welfare of every section of the society. The CM said that despite all the financial challenges, the Himachal Pradesh government is working to strengthen the economy of the state and ensure the all-round development of the society.
