As soon as the clouds of political crisis cleared, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu suddenly came into action mode and intensified the damage control. CM has said that late Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh is a respected leader and his statue will be installed under any circumstances.

The CM said that former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh’s son and Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh had resigned from the post of minister a day earlier on Wednesday, raising the issue of installing the statue.

Vikramaditya Singh had accused CM Sukhu of not providing land for installing the statue of Virbhadra Singh on the Ridge Ground of the capital Shimla. Vikramaditya Singh also became emotional in the press conference talking about his father and his being ignored.

Mandi MP Pratibha Singh, wife of late Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, is also continuously raising the issue of installing the statue.

In an informal conversation with journalists, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Vikramaditya Singh has talked about building the statue, he will definitely build it. Statues of state leaders and national leaders are to be installed at many places In Himachal Pradesh. There is no issue of land for this. CM said that Vikramaditya Singh has spoken emotionally. He is like a younger brother. He keeps talking.

Cabinet meeting was called for the second consecutive day –

Coming into action mode, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has called a meeting of the state cabinet for the second consecutive day. This meeting will be held on Friday at 4 pm. Before this, CM Sukhu is going to attend a public meeting in Dharampur of Solan district.

BJP should respect public opinion: CM Sukhu

CM Sukhu said that first there was economic problem in the state, then there was natural disaster. Now I have also dealt with political disaster. CM Sukhu said that he will ask BJP to respect public opinion. The public has elected Congress for five years. BJP should go to the public court and ask questions. He said that despite six rebels, BJP did not have majority. Six MLAs were not expelled when the Finance Bill was being passed. He should have sat down. Various types of allegations are being made for political gains. There is a flaw in the intentions of BJP.

Congress party workers should start preparing for Lok Sabha elections

All the differences prevailing in the state Congress have been resolved. While giving instructions not to bring out the things of Congress government and organization, it has also been claimed to eliminate the possibilities of Operation Lotus.

After the political storm subsided in the evening, in the press conference held at the Chief Minister’s residence Oakover Shimla, Congress observers gave instructions to start preparations for the Lok Sabha elections. Congress party observer and Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Hooda said that now we have to come out of the sorrow of losing the Rajya Sabha elections.

Senior Congress leaders have also shown solidarity by making all the ministers and MLAs including Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and State Congress President Pratibha Singh sit together in a joint press conference.

DK Shivkumar and Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that we have spoken to all the Congress MLAs. All differences have gone away. We are forming a coordination committee in the government and party organization. This is going to be announced from Delhi. The committee will include Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, State Congress President Pratibha Singh and three other leaders. The work of this committee will be to create mutual consent between the government and the organization.

The names of three people are going to be announced after the approval of the high command. Himachal Pradesh President has submitted the list of names. He said that everyone is united. The organization has assured full cooperation to the government. Lok Sabha elections will be fought together. Former Chief Minister of Haryana Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that in the Rajya Sabha elections, the party regrets that the party has lost one seat. Everyone knows the reasons. Consensus has been reached from all the MLAs. We will fight the Lok Sabha elections unitedly and bring victory to the party.

Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that the party high command has chosen Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu as the Chief Minister. He has been selected on the demand of the state president. He said that BJP’s Operation Lotus will not work in the state. Hooda said that the order for expulsion of MLAs has been given by the Assembly Speaker. Everyone knows what happened from the Assembly House to the premises. The Chief Whip of the party had given complete information about this to the Assembly Speaker.

DK Shivkumar said that there is a Congress government in the state and Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is the Chief Minister.

Senior people will be included in the coordination committee: Pratibha Singh

Himachal Pradesh Congress President Pratibha Singh said that Lok Sabha elections are our next challenge. We are saddened by the defeat in the Rajya Sabha elections. The party was strong earlier and is strong even today. Small matters have been resolved through conversation. I talked about coordination between the government and the organization, for this it has been decided to form a coordination committee. Matters will be resolved through committee. All four Lok Sabha seats of Himachal will be won by maintaining better coordination. Party workers and officials have gathered in the field.
