CM Sukhu in Jharmajri: Announces Rs 6.5 lakh for the deceased, Rs 50,000 for the injured

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu reached the scene on the sixth day of the fire in the industry in Jhadmajri –
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday visited the spot to inspect the horrific incident of fire in a private company in Jharmajri, industrial area of Barotiwala in Solan district and expressed deep condolences to the families of the deceased. CM Sukhu took detailed information about the fire incident from all the officials present on the spot and necessary guidelines were also given. CM Sukhu has instructed the officials of Solan district administration to provide all possible assistance to all the affected people. CM Sukhu also met the families of the missing persons and consoled them. CM Sukhu told the family members – Do not worry, the state government stands strongly with you in this hour of grief and all possible assistance will be provided.
Meeting with affected, SIT team formed to arrest factory owner –
While talking informally to the journalists, CM Sukhu expressed grief over the massive fire incident and said that the investigation process of the entire incident has been started by the Solan district administration and all the aspects will be thoroughly analyzed. CM Sukhu said that to ensure that such incidents do not happen again in future, it has been decided to make necessary changes in the current law after talking to all the factory managers.
Government will give 2-2 lakhs additional 4.5 lakhs to the families of the people who died in the incident, the injured will get 50 thousand –
CM Sukhu said that the investigation process has been started by registering an FIR in the entire matter and strictest action will be taken against the culprits. CM Sukhu Sukhu said that smart metering and undergrounding of electric wires in industrial areas are also being considered.
CM said that all the injured have been given immediate relief amount of Rs 5,000 each and a total financial assistance of Rs 50,000 each will be provided to them.
CM Sukhu said that a total of Rs 6.5 lakh per family is going to be provided to the families of the deceased.
There will be change in laws applicable in industries –
CM Sukhu said that five people have died pitifully in this unfortunate incident. One body is still being identified, while five people are still reported missing.
CM Sukhu said that 37 people were injured in the entire incident, out of which 13 injured have been discharged from the hospital after treatment. So far, relief amount of Rs 3.05 lakh has been provided to all the affected families.
CM Sukhu inquired about the well-being of the injured undergoing treatment in the hospital and obtained information from them about the entire accident.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has assured all possible assistance from the Himachal Pradesh government to all the injured workers.
On this occasion, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. (Colonel) Dhani Ram Shandil, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Chaudhary Ram Kumar, MLA KL Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Manmohan Sharma and all other distinguished leaders and officials were present.
