The result is that the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh has worked hard to obtain the Forest Clearance Certificate for Shinkula Tunnel from the Modi Government at the Centre. Expressing happiness, CM Sukhu said that the Modi government at the Center has given forest clearance certificate to the Himachal government to construct a 4.1 km tunnel to ease the traffic of Lahaul and Ladakh.
CM said that by including the construction of Shinkula Tunnel in the dream project, our government has succeeded in obtaining the Forest Clearance Certificate from the Narendra Modi government at the Center with great difficulty by sending a special officer from the state. CM said that a modern helipad and office building are also going to be constructed in the construction of Shinkula Tunnel. He also said that Himachal’s South Portal will have a stake of 3800 meters in Shinkula Tunnel.

CM said that with the construction of Shinkula Tunnel, road connectivity from Himachal Pradesh to Ladakh will be improved, which will provide ease to the tourists coming from Ladakh to Himachal and tourists going from Himachal to Ladakh.
CM said that with the construction of Shinkula Tunnel, not only tourism but also trade and most importantly weather conditions will not be affected due to which people will not face any problem in commuting.
CM said that the biggest goal of Himachal government is to bring the lives of the people of Lahaul-Spiti back on track and the economy of the people will improve due to increase in tourism due to the construction of Shinkula Tunnel.
CM said that the present Himachal government wants to improve the lives of the people and for this, it is making every effort to bring all the big projects to Himachal Pradesh, so that the tourism business of Himachal can take off.
