Kangra – The last date for submission of online application for CU Free Civil Services Eligibility Test will be 29th October. To provide free coaching to all the Scheduled Caste and Other Backward Class students, the entrance examination will be conducted for a total of hundred seats of Himachal Pradesh Central University.

All the students of Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Other Backward Classes in Himachal Pradesh Central University, Dr. Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DSE) will provide free coaching for the preparation of Civil Services Examination of the Union Public Service Commission of India.

For which Himachal Pradesh Central University will conduct the entrance eligibility test on 18th November.

For all the students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Tribes as well as Other Backward Classes participating in the Entrance Eligibility Test of Himachal Pradesh Central University, whose total family income from all sources is Rs. 8 lakh or less, then all those students Dr. Eligibility will be provided for benefits under Ambedkar Center of Excellence (DSE) Scheme.

The last date for submission of online applications in Himachal Pradesh Central University has been kept as 29th October. The total number of seats has been kept at hundred to provide free coaching to all the students of Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Other Backward Classes. Out of these hundred seats, seventy percent seats have been reserved for all students belonging to Scheduled Castes and Tribes. The total number of paid seats for all Scheduled Castes, Scheduled and Other Backward Classes, General and all other categories has been kept at twenty-five percent.

To avail benefits under all these schemes, eligibility will be given to all the students who have completed the entire graduation level course on time and are studying in the final year under all related graduation courses.

All selected Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class candidates will be provided a stipend at the rate of Rs 4,000 per month for the duration of the course, which will not be more than one year i.e. twelve months. The application fee for all general category (EWS), other backward class (OBC) creamy layer students has been kept at Rs 500. Whereas for all Other Backward Classes and non-creamy layer, the application fee has been kept at Rs 400, while for Scheduled Caste, ST and all disabled candidates, the application fee has been kept at Rs 200.

Nodal Officer of Himachal Pradesh Central University Centre, Professor Pradeep Kumar told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that now coaching for all the upcoming examinations of the Union Public Service Commission of India and Himachal Pradesh State Public Service Commission will also be made available to the youth. As per the merit list of Himachal Pradesh Central University and on behalf of the Centre, Common Eligibility Entrance Test will be conducted in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

This examination will be based on ninety MCQ questions and two essays covering Hindi and English languages in the Eligibility Entrance Test of 100 marks, each essay carrying five marks.

In the syllabus of Himachal Pradesh Entrance Eligibility Test, questions will be asked from ten marks of General English, ten marks of General Hindi, ten marks of Numerical Ability and Logical Ability, ten marks of Essay Writing. The duration of this important course has been kept for one year.
