Eight accused who attacked former MLA Bamber Thakur were produced again in the court on Wednesday. The court has sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. Five accused in the case are still out of police custody. Three of the absconding accused have filed bail petitions in the High Court, which was to be heard on Wednesday. But it could not happen.

Meanwhile, Bamber Thakur is undergoing treatment in the regional hospital. According to doctors, his condition is improving. At the same time, the Bilaspur police is searching for the five accused who are absconding, but even after six days of the incident, no trace of them has been found.

Let us tell you that Bamber Thakur was fatally attacked by some people last Friday. Bilaspur Police have registered a case against a total of 13 accused under various sections including attempt to murder.

The Bilaspur police have also recovered the sticks, swords and hockey sticks used in the attack.
