Bilaspur – In a major accident under Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, two people died on the spot when a car fell into a ditch in Tikkar, Ghumarwin, while one injured has been referred to PGI with immediate effect.
Shyam Sundar and Sarwan Kumar died on the spot after their car fell into a ditch in Tikkar of Ghumarwin under Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. While Jagatpal, a serious person traveling in the car, has been referred to PGI for improvement in his critical condition. Local people told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that injured Jagatpal was stuck in the car the whole night, due to which Jagatpal’s life was saved.

Last night, a car had fallen into a deep ditch in Soi falling in Tikkar village of Ghumarwin tehsil under Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh.
Two people died after their car fell into a deep gorge in Soi in Tikkar village under Ghumarwin tehsil of Bilaspur district. Whereas one person, Jagatpal, has been referred to PGI as he is injured due to being stuck in the car the whole night.
All the local residents in Soi of Tikkar village told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that both the deceased and an injured youth were trapped in the crashed car all night, so people could get information about it only in the early morning.
When all the local people of Soi came to know about the accident at around six in the morning, all the injured were immediately taken to the local district hospital.
According to the information received by Bilaspur Police, Shyam Sundar Soni, age sixty years, has been identified as son of Chaman Lal, resident of village Galasi, along with the other youth has been identified as Sarvan Kumar, age sixty-two years, resident of village Tikkar and the injured youth has been identified as Jagat Pal, age sixty. Born as son Sukhram, resident of village Dadi tehsil Ghumarwin district Bilaspur.
All three youths in the car were returning from a wedding ceremony in Soi village on Tuesday night.
Shyam Sundar Soni, who owns a goldsmith shop in Gandhi Chowk under Ghumarwin tehsil of Bilaspur district, had come out in his car to drop Sarwan Kumar and Jagat Pal home. But on the way, near Soi Puli, the car suddenly went out of control and fell into a deep ditch at the hands of the car driver Shyam Sundar Soni, due to which the car driver Shyam Sundar Soni and his relative Sarwan Kumar died on the spot, while Jagatpal was seriously injured. Due to this, PGI Center has been sent to Chandigarh.
Local people said that Jagatpal’s life was saved because he was stuck in the car the whole night in an injured condition. All the local residents of Soi village came to know about the entire incident at six in the morning. On the other hand, the family members of the three persons were searching for them since the night.
Early on Wednesday morning, local people saw the car falling into the ditch, complete information about which was given to the Bilaspur District Police Administration.
As soon as Bilaspur District Police got information about the entire incident, teams of the police force reached the spot and with the help of local people, pulled out the three people trapped in the car from a deep ditch and took them to Ghumarwin Hospital of Bilaspur district.
All three passengers in the car were taken to Ghumarwin District Hospital, where the team of doctors declared Shyam Sundar Soni and Sarwan Kumar dead during treatment, while the injured Jagatpal was referred to PGI Center Chandigarh after first aid.
Ghumarwin MLA Rajesh Dharmani reached Ghumarwin Hospital and talked to the members of all the victim’s families and assured them of all kinds of assistance from the Himachal Pradesh government.
Confirming the entire matter, Ghumarwin police station in-charge Vipin Chaudhary told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the car rider and a family member died on the spot after the car fell into a deep ditch of Soi Puli, while an injured person was given first aid. After this he has been referred to PGI Center Chandigarh.
