The drug consignment recovered by Rohru police of Shimla district, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, is the biggest drug consignment operation of this year, in which 107.93 grams of chittha has been recovered. A case has been registered against all the four drug mafias under the Himachal Pradesh State NDPS Act and all the accused have been sent to judicial custody.

Rohru police arrested all four drug mafias-

The team of Special Cell of Shimla Police has recovered a large consignment of pamphlets in Baghi tehsil under Kotkhai sub-division of Shimla district, the capital of Himachal Pradesh.

The biggest consignment of drugs ever seized from Baghi tehsil under Kotkhai sub-division was being hidden in a Rohru Narkanda bus of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) by the four drug mafias.

Shimla Police arrested the four drug accused with 107.93 grams of chittha and sent them to the judicial custody of Himachal Pradesh High Court.

The consignment of 107.93 grams of Chittha seized by Shimla Police is the biggest action against drug mafias of 2023 so far.

The four accused have been sent to the judicial custody of the Himachal Pradesh High Court by the Director General of Himachal Pradesh Police, registering the entire case under the Himachal Pradesh State NDPS Act under Kotkhai Police Station in Shimla district.

According to the complete information received by Kotkhai police station of Shimla police, a group of all four drug mafias were traveling in Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus number (HP 10 A 9717) going from Rohru in Shimla district to Narkanda.

Under the leadership of Kotkhai police station in-charge ASI Ambi Lal of Shimla Police and the entire team of Special Cell of Shimla Police, based on secret information, stopped and searched the HRTC bus loaded with passengers on the way between Baghi Ghat under Baghi tehsil of Kotkhai in Shimla district. The operation was started, due to which the four drug mafias were recovered from the HRTC bus along with the entire consignment of 107.93 grams of Chittha and the four accused were sent to judicial custody.

During the search operation of Shimla District Kotkhai police station and Shimla Special Cell in Baghi Ghat, the entire consignment was recovered along with the consignment of 107.93 grams of chittha in the bus of the four accused.

All four drug mafias have been identified as Balbir Singh, son of Kaul Ram, village Tapdog, tehsil Nankhadi, while the second accused, identified as Vipin Shyam, son of Jai Singh, Khulighat Gram Panchayat and Tehsil Nankhadi, has been arrested, and the third accused, Raman, son of Moti Ram has been caught with Bani Gram Panchayat Nankhadi Tehsil and the last accused Ganesh has been identified as son of Mohan Lal Shana Village Pokhara Nepal Tehsil and has been arrested by Shimla Special Cell Team and sent to the judicial custody of Himachal Pradesh High Court.

On the other hand, DSP Theog of Shimla Police told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that on the basis of secret information received by the teams of Shimla Special Cell of Shimla Police, the entire operation was successfully carried out, taking all four accused into custody and arresting them in the state of Himachal Pradesh. Registering the entire case under the NDPS Act, all four drug mafias have been sent to the judicial custody of Himachal Pradesh Police and Himachal Pradesh High Court.
