AAP MP Raghav Chadha seeks special package from centre for weather-struck Punjab farmers
AAP MP Raghav Chadha has written a letter to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman demanding compensation for the loss caused to farmers due to unseasonal rains in Punjab. Chadha visited various farms in Punjab and interacted with farmers to take stock of the devastation caused by the heavy rains.
During the interaction, the farmers shared their grief with the MP and also gave him samples of their damaged crops and urged him to apprise the Union Finance Minister about their losses. Acting on their request, Chadha immediately wrote a letter to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the spot and sent it along with samples of the damaged wheat crop.
