Tensions in the Persian Gulf escalated after Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi accused Kuwait of attacking an Iranian boat and detaining four Iranian citizens. The strong statement came amid increasing geopolitical instability in the Middle East.

In a post shared on X, Araghchi alleged that Kuwaiti forces carried out an “unlawful attack” on the Iranian vessel near an island that he claimed had previously been used by the United States during military operations against Iran.

He stated that Iran is demanding the “immediate release” of its citizens and warned that Tehran reserves the right to respond to the incident.

Abbas Araghchi Blames Kuwait for ‘Illegal Act’

According to Araghchi, the incident was an intentional attempt to create tensions in the region. The Iranian minister wrote that Kuwait had acted illegally by intercepting the boat and detaining Iranian nationals in the Persian Gulf.

The Iranian government has not yet released additional details regarding the condition of the detained individuals or the exact location of the incident. Kuwait has also not issued an official public response to the allegations so far.

The remarks have added another layer of tension to the already fragile security situation in the Gulf region.

Iranian Media Links Kuwait to US Operations

Iranian state broadcaster Press TV claimed that Kuwaiti territory has been used as a strategic platform for United States military operations targeting Iran during recent regional conflicts.

The report further stated that Iran had previously targeted American military bases located in Kuwait in response to attacks linked to Washington. Iranian media also urged Kuwait to reconsider the presence of US military forces in the country to avoid future retaliatory actions.

These claims have intensified concerns about a broader regional confrontation involving Iran, the US, and Gulf nations.

UAE Rejects Reports of Netanyahu Visit During Operation Roaring Lion

Meanwhile, regional diplomatic tensions continued to grow after reports surfaced claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had visited the United Arab Emirates during “Operation Roaring Lion.”

However, UAE authorities strongly denied the reports, calling them inaccurate.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi reacted shortly after the reports emerged, highlighting the fast-changing political and security developments unfolding across the Middle East.

Yemen Expresses Support for Iran

In another significant development, Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras reportedly sent a letter to his Iranian counterpart expressing full solidarity with Iran.

According to Iranian media reports, Abu Ras warned that continued US-Israeli actions against Iran could push the region toward wider instability and conflict.

He also called on Islamic nations to unite against what he described as aggression toward Iran. The letter praised the resilience and unity of the Iranian people and reiterated Yemen’s support for Tehran amid rising regional tensions.

Middle East Security Concerns Continue to Deepen

The latest exchange of accusations between Iran and Kuwait comes at a time when the Middle East is witnessing heightened military and diplomatic tensions. Analysts believe that any further escalation in the Persian Gulf could significantly impact regional stability, global oil markets, and international diplomatic relations.

With Iran demanding the release of its detained citizens and warning of possible retaliation, global attention is now focused on how Kuwait and other Gulf nations respond in the coming days.
