Donald Trump has expressed strong dissatisfaction with Iran’s most recent proposal aimed at easing tensions between the two nations, casting fresh doubt over the future of diplomatic negotiations.

Speaking to reporters at the White House on Friday, Trump made it clear that the offer from Iran did not meet his expectations. “They want to make a deal, I’m not satisfied with it, so we’ll see what happens,” he said, without providing specific details about what he found lacking in the proposal.

The statement comes at a critical time as both countries have been attempting to navigate a path toward de-escalation. However, Trump’s remarks suggest that significant gaps remain between the two sides.

Interestingly, Trump also revealed that discussions are still ongoing through phone communications, even after he canceled a planned visit by his envoys to Pakistan last week. This indicates that backchannel diplomacy continues despite visible setbacks.

In a sharp critique, Trump described Iran’s leadership as “very disjointed,” hinting at internal divisions within the country’s decision-making structure. “They all want to make a deal, but they’re all messed up,” he added, reflecting frustration with the negotiation process.

The developments highlight the fragile nature of US-Iran relations, where progress often faces sudden hurdles. With no clear resolution in sight, global observers are closely watching how both sides will proceed in the coming days.
