The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow weather warning for several districts on March 28 and 29, urging residents and travelers to stay cautious.
According to officials, a fresh spell of Western Disturbance will become active over northwest India starting the night of March 28. This system is likely to intensify weather activity, leading to widespread rain in lower regions and fresh snowfall in higher altitudes.
Light rain and snowfall may occur at isolated places on March 27, but conditions are expected to worsen between March 28 and March 30. After that, the intensity will reduce, though light precipitation may still continue in some areas until April 1.

Along with precipitation, temperatures are also expected to fall significantly. Minimum temperatures could drop by 3°C to 6°C, while maximum temperatures may dip by 2°C to 6°C, bringing back colder conditions across the state.

Over the past 24 hours, most parts of the state experienced dry weather, with only a few areas receiving light rainfall. However, temperatures showed unusual patterns—minimum temperatures remained 3°C to 4°C above normal, while maximum temperatures were slightly below average.

The highest maximum temperature in the state was recorded in Una at 30.4°C, while the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Kukumseri at 1.8°C.
