In a major administrative move, the Himachal Pradesh government on Tuesday announced a fresh round of transfers and postings, impacting 17 senior officers across the state. The reshuffle includes eight IAS officers, one IFS officer, and eight HPAS officers, signaling a strategic shift in key departments.

One of the most notable changes is the appointment of Sandeep Kumar as the new Divisional Commissioner of Kangra, a crucial administrative region. Meanwhile, Duni Chand Rana has been given charge as Managing Director of HPMC, along with additional responsibilities in Agro Industries and its packaging division—highlighting the government’s focus on strengthening the agriculture sector.

Ram Kumar Gautam will now lead the Agriculture Marketing Board as its Managing Director, while Kumud Singh takes over as Director of Civil Supplies, a department closely linked to public distribution and essential services.

In the financial sector, Vinay Singh has been appointed as Managing Director of the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, a key institution for rural and cooperative financing in the state.

Further, Manish Kumar and Akshay Sood have been assigned as Settlement Officers for Shimla and Kangra divisions respectively, roles that are critical for land and revenue administration.

Adding to the reshuffle, IFS officer Pushpendra Rana has been appointed Director of Environment, Science and Technology. He will also handle additional responsibilities in Disaster Management and serve as Member Secretary of the State Council of Science, Technology and Environment.

This reshuffle reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline governance, improve efficiency, and bring fresh leadership to important administrative positions across Himachal Pradesh.
