In a dramatic and emotionally charged address, US President Donald Trump declared that Operation Epic Fury — described as one of the largest military offensives in modern history — will continue “at full force until all of our objectives are achieved.”

Speaking in a video posted on Truth Social, Trump said the United States and its partners had carried out a sweeping military campaign over the past 36 hours, striking hundreds of targets across Iran.

“Nobody’s seen anything like it,” Trump said, calling the operation one of the most complex and overwhelming offensives ever launched.

Hundreds of Targets Hit Across Iran

According to Trump, US forces targeted key Iranian military assets, including facilities linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and advanced air defence systems.

He further claimed that nine Iranian naval ships and a naval building were destroyed “in a matter of minutes,” signaling the scale and speed of the operation.

The US military’s regional command, United States Central Command (CENTCOM), confirmed that three American service members were killed in action during the strikes.

“As one nation, we grieve for the true American patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice,” Trump said, while acknowledging that more casualties are possible before the conflict ends.

Reported Death of Iran’s Supreme Leader

In a stunning claim, Trump announced that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had been killed during the February 28 US-Israel strikes.

Calling Khamenei a “wretched and vile man,” Trump alleged that he had “the blood of hundreds and even thousands of Americans on his hands.”

Iranian state media, according to reports, confirmed the death, along with several members of his family. Trump further claimed that celebrations had broken out in parts of Iran following the announcement.

“Voices of the Iranian people could be heard cheering in the streets,” he stated.

“Military Command Is Gone”

The US President also asserted that Iran’s military command structure had been dismantled.

“The entire military command is gone,” he claimed, adding that many officials were seeking surrender and immunity.

Trump issued a direct warning to members of the Iranian military and the Revolutionary Guard: lay down arms and receive immunity — or face “certain death.”

Nuclear Threat and Strong Objectives

Framing the conflict as a matter of global security, Trump said the US could not allow Iran to possess long-range missiles and nuclear weapons.

“We cannot allow a regime that raises terrorist armies to extort the world,” he said.

Reiterating confidence in American military power, he added, “The United States has the strongest military the world has ever seen.”

A Message to the Iranian People

In a rare appeal directed at civilians, Trump called on Iranian citizens who “yearn for freedom” to seize the moment.

“Be brave. Be bold. Be heroic. Take back your country. America is with you,” he said.

What Happens Next?

With combat operations ongoing and tensions at a historic high, the situation remains fluid and deeply consequential. The coming days are likely to shape not only US-Iran relations but also the broader stability of the Middle East.
