Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has directed the Himachal Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation (HPSEDC) to ensure that salaries of all outsourced employees are disbursed by the 7th of every month, stressing that timely payment is essential to prevent financial hardship for workers.
The Chief Minister said that prompt release of remuneration would help employees manage their day-to-day expenses without stress and ensure greater financial stability for outsourced staff engaged through the corporation.
Highlighting the corporation’s financial performance, Sukhu said HPSEDC recorded a turnover of Rs 275 crore with a net profit of Rs 15 crore in 2023-24, which increased to Rs 300 crore with a net profit of Rs 18 crore in 2024-25, reflecting steady growth and operational efficiency.
He also directed the corporation to revise technical charges for tenders, proposing a graded structure:
- 5% for tenders up to Rs 5 crore
- 3% for tenders above Rs 5 crore and up to 10 crore
- 2% for tenders exceeding Rs 10 crore
The Board of Directors further approved a change in the corporation’s nomenclature, renaming it as the Himachal Pradesh Electronics Manpower and Overseas Employment Corporation. The move reflects its expanded mandate, as the corporation has also been facilitating overseas employment opportunities for the state’s youth.
Officials said the decision aims to strengthen manpower services while broadening employment prospects both within India and abroad.
