Himachal Pradesh Weather : Cold Wave to Intensify in Himachal, IMD Issues Yellow Alert Till January 20
The cold wave prevailing across Himachal Pradesh is expected to intensify over the next few days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow warning for several districts till January 20.

According to the IMD, yellow alerts for cold wave conditions have been issued for Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Mandi districts on January 19 and 20. Cold wave conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in these districts during this period.
The weather department has also issued a yellow warning for heavy snowfall in the higher reaches of the state on January 23.
In its forecast, the IMD stated that two western disturbances in quick succession are very likely to affect northwest India from January 19 and January 21. These systems are expected to bring one or two spells of rain and snowfall, with the possibility of heavy snowfall at isolated places in the higher hills, particularly on January 23.
Meanwhile, very light snowfall was recorded in the higher reaches of the state during the past 24 hours, mainly in Lahaul and Spiti district.
