The highway, closed earlier in the day due to damage to a flyover girder, was reopened this evening.

Normal traffic was restored at around 7:30 PM today on the Kirtapur-Manali National Highway. Traffic between Mandi and Kullu had been temporarily suspended after a girder on a flyover near Dwadra in Mandi district was damaged. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) promptly began repair work, which was completed within a few hours, allowing the highway to reopen for public use.

Authorities advised travelers to avoid the regular highway route while repair work was underway. As per prior arrangements, the Katoula-Kamand road remained open to light motor vehicles throughout the day.

Mandi police personnel were stationed at the site to manage traffic and ensure public safety. In an official update, Mandi Police confirmed that the repairs were successfully completed and normal traffic resumed at around 7:30 PM.

Monitoring will continue to ensure road safety and structural stability. Travelers are advised to stay informed through official channels for any further updates or advisories.
