SJVN Honoured with ‘Rajbhasha Prabha’ Award for Excellence in Hindi Implementation

Shimla, 19 June – SJVN has been awarded the prestigious ‘Rajbhasha Prabha’ award by the Ministry of Power for outstanding implementation of the Official Language Policy during the year 2023–24. The award was presented by Hon’ble Union Minister for Power, Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, to Bhupendra Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director (Addl. Charge), SJVN, during a meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Power held in New Delhi.
The event was also attended by Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for Power, Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary (Power), and senior officials from various public sector undertakings and institutions under the Ministry.
Bhupendra Gupta stated that SJVN received the award in recognition of its exemplary efforts in promoting the use of Hindi across its projects and offices. On this occasion, the dignitaries also released the latest edition of SJVN’s in-house Hindi magazine, published by the Official Language Department.
The Rajbhasha Prabha award was instituted by the Ministry of Power, Government of India, to honour PSUs and institutions under its purview for their significant contributions in promoting the use of Hindi. The evaluation process considers all aspects of policy implementation, encouraging the progressive use of Hindi while ensuring that its reach expands alongside the nation’s power development efforts.
