Shahpur, April 11: Himachal Pradesh has another reason to beam with pride as Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip, Kewal Singh Pathania, has been officially selected to represent India at the prestigious World Classic and Equipped Bench Press Championship in Drammen, Norway, scheduled from May 17 to 24, 2025.

Pathania, a seasoned figure in Indian powerlifting, is currently serving as Vice President of Powerlifting India, President of the Himachal Pradesh Powerlifting Association, and is also a certified national referee.
His past roles include managing the Indian team in international tournaments across the USA, Canada, Dubai, England, and Russia, making him a veteran presence on the global sports stage. His deep experience is expected to greatly benefit Team India as it competes against the world’s best.
