India and Czech Republic Strengthen Ties through Three-Day Visit
- On Sunday, Arindam Bagchi, the official spokesperson for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, tweeted a warm welcome to Jan Lipavsky, the Czech Republic’s Foreign Minister, as he began a three-day official visit to India. Bagchi noted that the visit is expected to strengthen and advance the already-close bilateral relations between India and the Czech Republic.
- According to a recent statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, Jan Lipavsky will be joined on his official visit to India by several other high-level Czech officials, including Members of Parliament, the Deputy Minister for Science, Research, and Innovation, and a delegation of business leaders. During his visit, Lipavsky is scheduled to meet with India’s External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, to discuss a range of bilateral, regional, and international issues.
- According to a statement released by India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Jan Lipavsky’s visit to India will include his attendance at the opening session of the India-EU Business and Sustainability Conclave on February 28.
- Jan Lipavsky’s visit to India builds upon a series of recent high-level meetings between Indian and Czech officials. In June 2022, India’s External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, visited the Czech Republic and held delegation-level talks with Lipavsky. Earlier this year, the two leaders also met in Vienna during Jaishankar’s official visit to Austria. Lipavsky’s visit to India is expected to further enhance the already-strong ties between the two countries.
