A 29-year-old youth died after coming in contact with high voltage electric wire while constructing a shed in Katohar Khurd under sub-division Amb. While his brother got injured. The deceased has been identified as Paramjit Singh alias Monu (29) son of Tarsem Singh, resident of ward number Katauhar Kalan. The police have handed over the body to the family after conducting the post-mortem.

The deceased has been identified as Paramjit Singh alias Monu (29) son of Tarsem Singh, resident of ward number Katauhar Kalan. The police have handed over the body to the family after conducting the post-mortem.
According to the information, on Sunday late evening, Paramjit was working with his brother Ranjit Singh to enlarge the shed built in the fields. During this, while lifting the iron rod, it touched the 33 kV high voltage line passing nearby. Due to which Paramjit died on the spot due to serious injuries. While his brother Ranjit Singh also got a mild electric shock.
On receiving information about the incident, Amb police station has started investigation. SDPO Amb Dr. Vasudha Sood said that the police has got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family. A thorough investigation of the case is being conducted.
