Grandfather did cruelty to granddaughter in Sirmaur, victim became 5 months pregnant

A 60-year-old grandfather raped his 14-year-old minor granddaughter, after which the victim became pregnant. There is an atmosphere of anger and sadness in the area since the matter came to light.
According to information received from sources, the victim Radhika (name changed) lives with her mother in a village in Upper Shimla. She came to her father’s house under Shri Renuka Ji police station for a few days in the month of February. During that time, her grandfather Ramesh (name changed) committed this heinous act with her.
After the incident, the victim went back to Upper Shimla with her mother. Recently, when the victim suffered severe pain in her stomach, she was taken to the doctor. During the medical examination, it was found that she was about 5 months pregnant. Hearing this, the family was stunned and understanding the seriousness of the matter, informed the police. Since the incident was carried out under Shri Renuka Ji police station, Shimla police informed the local police.
As soon as the matter came to light, Shri Renuka Ji police immediately took action and called the victim and recorded her statement. Reliable sources told Local News that the police immediately arrested the accused Ramesh (name changed). After preliminary interrogation and investigation, the accused was produced in the court, from where he has been sent on three-day police remand.
Since the matter is very serious and sensitive, the police is taking every step thoughtfully. The incident is being investigated thoroughly by the police, so that the culprit can be given the strictest punishment. Keeping in mind the safety of the victim, the police has provided her full medical and legal assistance.
