Himachal News: Statue of Lord Shri Ram made of 120 kg brass installed in Himachal Raj Bhavan
This statue of Lord Shri Ram is made of 120 kg brass, which has been prepared by artisan Gaurav Anand of Chamba district.
Shimla, July 14: On Saturday, the statue of Lord Shri Ram was installed in front of the statue of Hanuman in the Himachal Raj Bhavan premises. The idol was consecrated under the supervision of Acharyas and priests. This religious ritual started at 8 am and was completed with rituals. On this occasion, Acharya Anil Shastri, Jakhu temple priest BP Sharma, Pandit Hari Nand Sharma and Saumya Sharma led the puja.

After the consecration, a havan and bhandara were also organized. This statue of Lord Shri Ram is made of 120 kg brass, which has been prepared by artisan Gaurav Anand of Chamba district. Lady Governor Janaki Shukla contributed Rs 1 lakh for the construction of the statue, while the remaining amount was provided by the Governor from her discretionary fund.
On this occasion, His Excellency Governor Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla, in an informal conversation with journalists, said that Hanuman ji’s statue was already installed in the Himachal Raj Bhavan premises, but it was necessary to install Shri Ram ji along with him.
He said that Lord Shri Ram should keep Himachal Pradesh free from various disasters and keep blessing the state.
The Governor also said that India is progressing rapidly and is moving towards becoming the third largest economy of the world. He prayed that India’s prestige should increase further in the world.
