Shimla News: Andhra Pradesh businessman defrauds Sunder Singh, owner of Sunder Fruit Company in Parala Fruit Mandi, of Rs 43.54 lakh, FIR lodged in Theog police station
Shimla, July 09: A case of fraud of Rs 43.54 lakh has come to light from an apple trader of Parala Mandi of Theog subdivision of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh. A businessman from Andhra Pradesh has committed this fraud. The trader has lodged a case in this regard at Theog police station.
According to the information received in the case, Sundar Singh, a resident of Theog, said in the complaint that he is the owner of Sundar Fruit Company in Parala Fruit Mandi. In the year 2019, two businessmen named Anand Rao and Shakti Babu came to Parala Mandi from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He told that he is the owner of Balaji Fruit Company in Sirkakulam Visakhapatnam.

Anand Rao and Shakti Babu bought 7,394 boxes of apples from the victim Sundar Singh, whose total cost was Rs 96,83,664. Out of this, they paid Rs 64 lakh, but did not pay the outstanding amount of Rs 32,83,664 lakh. In the year 2020, Shakti Babu again came to Parala Mandi to buy apples.
Victim Sundar Singh asked Shakti Babu to pay the outstanding amount for apples. On this Shakti Babu said that he should sell him more apples. Later he will pay the entire amount at once. This time Shakti Babu told the name of his company as Latpagiri Fruit Vijayawada. Shakti Babu bought 704 apple boxes. Their total cost was Rs 13,32,648. Out of this he paid only Rs 2,62,000, an amount of Rs 10,70,648 remained outstanding.
In total, the victim Sundar Singh owed Rs 43,54,312 to the accused Shakti Babu in both the years. The victim Sundar Singh told the Theog police station in-charge that his dues have not been paid yet. The accused lured him with wrong intentions. He did not pay the dues after purchasing apples.
DSP Theog Siddharth Sharma said that based on the complaint of the victim Sundar Singh, an FIR has been lodged at Theog police station under sections 318(4) and 3(5) of the BNS and action is being taken.
