Painful: Woman returning home after closing shop with husband dies due to poisonous snake bite

Una, June 25: A case of the heartbreaking death of a woman due to snake bite has come to light in Damod village of Jasana Panchayat, falling under Bangana subdivision of Una district of Himachal Pradesh.

The Bangana police station in-charge has identified the deceased woman as Neelam Devi, wife of Trilok Singh, resident of Damod.

The Bangana police station in-charge and his team got the post-mortem of the deceased woman Neelam Devi done at the Regional Hospital Una on Tuesday and handed over the body to the family.

Bangana Police Station in-charge said that on last Monday, late in the evening, Neelam Devi was going home after closing the shop with her husband Trilok Singh. Then on the way, Neelam Devi was bitten by a poisonous snake.

Woman Neelam Devi was taken to Bangana Hospital by her family in a critical condition, where senior doctors declared her dead.

Dr. Mahendra Singh of Bangana Hospital has appealed to the general public that if any person is bitten by any poisonous snake, then immediately bring him to Bangana Hospital.
