Shimla, June 24: Honorable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on last Sunday inspected the under construction Dadasiba Civil Hospital under Jaswan Pragpur Assembly Constituency of Kangra District and gave necessary instructions to the officials.
CM Sukhu asked the Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department to ensure quality in the construction work of Dadasiba Civil Hospital.
The CM said that in the first phase, Dadasiba Civil Hospital is being built with 50 beds and in the second phase, the capacity of Dadasiba Civil Hospital will be increased to 100 beds.
CM Sukhu said that Dadasiba Civil Hospital of Jaswan Pragpur Assembly Constituency is the main government health institution and provides health services to the people of Jaswan Pragpur Assembly Constituency, hence all the deficiencies in Dadasiba Civil Hospital will be removed soon.
The CM said that about 50 per cent of the construction work of the Dadasiba Civil Hospital has been completed and Rs 3.61 crore is required to complete the remaining construction work, which will be made available by the Himachal Pradesh government soon.
The CM said that along with specialist doctors of gynecology, orthopedics, surgery and anesthesia, services of lab technicians will also be ensured in Dadasiba Civil Hospital.
The CM said that the Himachal Pradesh government will make Dadasiba Civil Hospital an ideal health institution.The CM said that the construction work of Dadasiba Civil Hospital was going on at a slow pace for the last five years and there is a need to speed up the construction work.
The CM said that the Himachal Pradesh government is giving special preference to providing better facilities in all the health institutions of Himachal Pradesh and positive steps are being taken in this direction.
The CM said that in the recently held Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting, an important decision has been taken to fill 200 posts of medical officers in the Health and Family Welfare Department.

CM Sukhu also said that an important decision to fill 22 posts of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in various medical colleges of Himachal Pradesh has also been taken in the recently held Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting.
The CM said that the Himachal Pradesh government is also making efforts to improve emergency health services.
The CM said that in the recently held Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting, an important decision has been taken to fill eight posts of Emergency Medical Officer in Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medical College Tanda.
The CM said that an important decision to fill five posts of Assistant Professor in Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College, Chamba has been taken in the recently held Himachal Pradesh Cabinet meeting, so that the best health facilities can be provided to the people by making the trauma centers functional in both these medical colleges.
On this occasion, Agriculture Minister Prof. Chander Kumar, Congress spokesperson Surendra Mankotia and other dignitaries registered their presence.
