Shimla, June 18: Regarding the problem of increasing water shortage in Himachal Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said in the capital Shimla that all the officers and employees of Himachal Pradesh Jal Shakti Department have been deployed in the field for twenty-four hours. Along with this, the leaves of all the officers and employees of all the Jal Shakti Department of Himachal Pradesh have been cancelled.
Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri said that 10067 schemes of IPH are running in Himachal Pradesh, out of which water sources in 1767 schemes are on the verge of drying up due to increasing heat. Still, regular supply of water is being ensured in every area through tankers. It is definitely taking time for the tankers to reach the people’s area, but water is being made available to the people in every situation.
