Shimla Parliamentary Constituency: BJP candidate Suresh Kashyap leads Congress candidate Vinod Sultanpuri by 83,634 votes, Victory Confirmed

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 04A huge difference is being seen in the vote counting of Lok Sabha and assembly by-elections in Himachal Pradesh.On one hand, Congress party candidates are leading in Himachal assembly by-elections, while on the other hand, BJP is seen to be doing a clean sweep in all the four Lok Sabha seats.BJP candidate Suresh Kashyap from Shimla parliamentary constituency has taken a lead of 83,634 over Congress candidate Vinod Sultanpuri.Congress candidate Vinod Sultanpuri was claiming victory on Shimla Lok Sabha seat.

It is worth mentioning that Shimla parliamentary constituency is the stronghold of four ministers of the ruling Congress party’s Sukhu government as well as CPS, Chairman of Boards and Corporations and Deputy Speaker of the Assembly

BJP candidate Suresh Kashyap has got 4,75,238 votes. Congress candidate Vinod Sultanpuri is at second place with 3,91,604 votes.

On the third position, Anil Kumar Mangalet of Bahujan Samaj Party has got 6,087 votes. On the fourth position, Suresh Kumar of Rashtriya Devbhoomi Party has got 44072 votes.On the fifth position, Madan Lal of APP has got 4348 votes. NOTA has got 5472 votes.In the latest report, BJP candidate Suresh Kashyap has got 53.56 percent votes, while Congress candidate Vinod Sultanpuri has got 44.14 percent votes.
