Hemraj Bairwa: Elections will be conducted peacefully in Kangra district with the coordination of Hoshiarpur and Pathankot district administration.

To further secure the border of the district, eighteen checkpoints are being established and in coordination with Hoshiarpur and Pathankot district administration, illegal liquor, cash, jewelery and chitta are going to be confiscated.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Dharamshala, April 27: Kangra District Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Hemraj Bairwa have held a meeting and ordered that Before the voting process of the seventh and final phase, the law and security system is going to be tightened by completely sealing all the borders of Kangra, the largest district of Himachal Pradesh.

While addressing all the officers of Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Chamba and Kangra districts administration in the important coordination meeting held at NIC Auditorium on Saturday, DC Kangra said that it is an important responsibility of all of us to conduct free, fair and peaceful elections.

He said that Himachal Pradesh Police, Kangra Police and Kangra District Administration are fully prepared to conduct the elections successfully and special teams of police are present at every nook and corner for tight security arrangements at every activity in the district. To further secure the border of the district, eighteen checkpoints are being established and in coordination with Hoshiarpur and Pathankot district administration, illegal liquor, cash, jewelery and chitta are going to be confiscated.

Besides, special security arrangements for mining mafia and bottling plant are going to be tightened. Pathankot District Deputy Commissioner and Pathankot Superintendent of Police, Hoshiarpur SP, Hoshiarpur District Election Officer, Kangra SP Shalini Agnihotri, Nurpur SP Ashok Ratan, Kangra ADC Saurabh Jassal along with various officers have registered their presence in the coordination meeting.
