Election Commission: Eight crore forty lakh arrested in Himachal Pradesh before the seventh phase of voting.

Apart from this, by raiding and road blocking teams of Special Cell of Himachal Pradesh Police have been seized Thirty-seven kilograms of hashish worth seventy-four lakh sixty-three thousand rupees, Fifty-five kilograms of heroin worth one crore eight lakh rupees, Twenty five lakh rupees cash and Valuable items worth three lakh thirty five thousand rupees.

Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 23: State Election Commission spokesperson said that due to the model code of conduct imposed before the seventh and final phase of voting in Himachal Pradesh, till now illegal raw materials worth Rs. eight crore forty lakh have been seized by Himachal Pradesh Police and various special cells teams. Along with the seizure of boxes of pure liquor, cash, guns and various valuables have been seized.

Also, the spokesperson said that taking action by the joint teams of Himachal Pradesh Police and State Excise and Taxation Department, three lakh ninety six thousand nine hundred fifty five liters of liquor worth Rs five crore eighty lakh has been seized from various places.
