HP Election Department: 61472 arms holders deposited their weapons in Himachal
The spokesperson said that till now 61472 weapons have been deposited by the license holders in Himachal Pradesh.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla , April 13: Election Department spokesperson said here that the Election Department is ensuring 100 percent compliance of all the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India to conduct the election process peacefully in Himachal Pradesh. The spokesperson said that till now 61472 weapons have been deposited by the license holders in Himachal Pradesh.

Election Department spokesperson said that 1020 in Baddi, Bilaspur 4406, Chamba 5259, Hamirpur 3400, Kangra 10309, Kinnaur 1205, Kullu 4479, Lahaul-Spiti 205, Mandi 6291, Nurpur 3455, Shimla 10671, Sirmaur 4720, Solan 3557 and Una 2495 Weapons have been deposited.

Election Department spokesperson said that in view of the Model Code of Conduct, so far 53 complaints have been received from different districts of Himachal Pradesh through C-Vigil. He said that time bound resolution of these complaints is being ensured. With the implementation of the Code of Conduct, disposal of 24 out of the total complaints received till April 12, 2024 has been ensured. He said that out of the total complaints received, 29 were rejected as they were not found genuine.
