Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 09: Five accused, including the son of a former Punjab minister, have been arrested by Shimla Police along with A Consignment of 42.89 Grams of Chitta. In which a girl is also included.

According to the information, the Special Cell team, acting on secret information, arrested the accused near the old bus stand of Shimla. The police team has recovered a consignment of 42.89 grams of Chitta from the possession of the accused. The police have taken possession of the consignment of chitta and registered a case against the accused and have started further action.

It is being told that the son of the former minister of Punjab was earlier also caught in a drug smuggling case, now the Shimla Police team has caught the son of the former minister of Punjab with chitta. Police are finding out from where the accused had brought Chitta and where they were going to supply it. Police is also investigating the backward linkages of the accused. During police interrogation, many important revelations related to Chitta mafia can be made from the accused.

Identification of the accused:

Prakash Singh (37) son of Sucha Singh, District Bilaspur, Abani (19) son of Vikas Negi village Sangla Kinnaur, Ajay Kumar (27) son of Chaman Lal VPO Narkheria Punjab University Patiala, Shubham Kaushal (26) son of Sandeep Kaushal Sector 1 Chandigarh and Balbinder (22) son of Kuldeep Singh Mohali, Punjab.

On the other hand, SP Sanjeev Gandhi says that the police has arrested five people with chitta in a private hotel in Shimla. A case has been registered against the accused under NDPS Act and further action has been started. People associated with drug mafia will not be spared under any circumstances.
