Himachal: Police Destroyed Illegal Opium Cultivation In Kullu
Kullu District Police has destroyed illegal cultivation of opium in three separate cases.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Kullu, April 07: Kullu District Police has destroyed illegal cultivation of opium in three separate cases. According to the information, the police team has registered three cases under the Narcotic Drugs Act during patrolling at Police Station Banjar.

In the first case, the police team during patrolling recovered and destroyed about 5698 illegal opium plants grown in the fields in Village Shapnil. This illegal farming was done in the farming of Deele Ram resident village Shapnil Post Office Anah Tehsil Banjar.
In the second case, the police team recovered and destroyed about 4760 illegal opium plants growing among apple trees.

In the third case, about 600 illegal opium plants grown in the fields in Village Shapnil itself were recovered and destroyed. During investigation, initially this illegal farming was done in the field of village Shapnil resident of Kehar Singh. A case has been registered against unknown persons.
