Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Solan, April 03: A horrifying incident has come to light in Baddi, the industrial area of Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. The biggest thing is that Baddi police has put the perpetrator of the crime behind the bars within just two hours.

Around 11:45 am in the morning, Anita, a woman from Bihar, informed Baddi police that 35-year-old Neem Chand, son of Narota Ram, belonging to Arki area, was sleeping in the adjacent room at night. When she came to pick him up in the morning, he was soaked in blood. Immediately the Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police and DSP took stock of the incident site.

Investigation revealed that Anita, a woman from Bihar, was living in a live-in relationship with deceased Neem Chand near Sai Road for a long time. For this reason, accused 55 year old Ravindra son of Nageshwar Sahni used to issue threats in anger. Last night, as soon as he got the opportunity, accused Ravindra killed Neem Chand. It has become clear in the investigation that accused Ravindra has used a sharp weapon in the incident. The weapon used in the crime has not been recovered. But it is suspected that an ax has been used.

In the initial investigation, Baddi police have also come to know that after committing the crime, the accused Ravindra had gone to his street vendor in the vegetable market and slept fearlessly. Around 7 am in the morning, the accused Ravindra had probably left to run away to Bihar, but the Baddi police had already laid a trap to nab the accused Ravindra during the inspection of the incident spot. Within about two hours, accused Ravindra was arrested from Kalka in Haryana.

DSP Khajana Ram confirmed that Neem Chand’s body has been taken into custody and sent to Nalagarh for post-mortem. In response to a question, the DSP said that the motive for the murder has also become clear. It has also come to light that accused Ravindra had earlier also issued threats to the deceased. On the other hand, it has also come to light that accused Ravindra also has four children, who are married.
