HP Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated the two-day national seminar

The Governor said this at the inauguration of a two-day national seminar sponsored by the History Department of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh and the Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi in Dharamshala on Friday.

The Governor said that the religious places of Himachal Pradesh are indicative of many historical events and rich cultural heritage. These religious places contain the vibrant historical heritage of the state. The rich cultural history of the state should be written down by studying them deeply, so that the coming generations can know and understand this heritage. Throwing light on the rich cultural heritage of the state, he said that the religious and mythological places of Himachal have been witnesses of many incidents. The rich cultural history of the state should be preserved by studying them in depth.
On this occasion, the key speaker Dr. Balmukund Pandey said that as a result of the changed circumstances in the country, the glorious history of the country is being taught today. Vice Chancellor of Central University, Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal said that the university is continuously achieving new achievements. The University being granted the status of Autonomous University by the Government of India is a great achievement. Historian Prof. Sushmita Pandey and other scholars also expressed their views on this occasion.

On this occasion, the newsletter of the University’s History Department, a book based on poems written by Pro. Sat Prakash Bansal and others, a poetry collection written by Dr. Priya and a book ‘Nuala’ based on the folk culture of the state written by researcher Bharat Singh were also released.
On this occasion, the University’s Dean of Studies, Prof. Pradeep Kumar, Registrar Prof. Suman Sharma, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa, Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri and dignitaries were present.
